HAWAIIA DASCYLLUS (HAWAIIAN DOMINO DAMSELFISH) Alo’ilo’i

I seem to see these fish where turtles gather. The Domino fish eats off the turtle shell, so they help eachother out. When this fish is still a juvenile (not pictured here) it looks like a domino, as an adult it looks like the picture below. They sometimes approach you, perhaps to see if you have some food growing on your shell. At Kai Kanani Buoy, Maluaka Bay, Maui.
