These fish are found almost exclusively within the two feet below the surface, you can easily miss them if you are looking down. They don’t like to come too close, and their color makes them hard to spot with the surface color of the water nearly the same as the fish. Their camaflauge makes it difficult to get a clear photo. You can see the needle fish has a needle like beak, used to catch smaller fish, interestingly needlefish jump out of the water when being chased, and they are related to flying fish. This type gets its name becaue of its sharp teeth.
