The gray chub or Nenue in Hawaiian is found swimming around the reef system, usually in schools from a few to 50 or more. This picture I got is of the yellow variant, I have never seen more than 1 in a school, the normal color being, you guessed it: gray. The Hawaiians are said to have believed that the yellow one had special power and was the leader of the school of nenue. They get to be over a foot long and you can see they have distince beak like mouths. Aquarium, Ahihi-Kinau preserve.
