This is a good looking fish, it can be a bright white color and then change to a darker gray shade in an instant. They seem to get to about a foot in length and tend to come in pairs although I have seen them alone as well. You can see the blue spines at the base of the tail, a typical feature of any surgeonfish. Pu’u Ola’i Point, Maui.
