This shark was turning around in its cave so it had to come straight at me to move around. Olowalu, Maui.

Lately I have been seeing a lot of white-tips, you can really see this sharks teeth (not to intimidating). Olowalu, Maui.

At Olowalu we often see a few to several blacktip reef sharks swimming in shallow water at the point. I got this photo standing in ankle deep water as they swam around.

Here is the Olowalu sleeper, we find this one sleeping close to the turtle cleaner station from time to time. Its always a nice thing to see the shark sleeping instead of moving around, that usually gets people excited. This one is probably 4-5 feet long.

Hows that, another whitetip in a matter of a few days. This time at Olowalu, this one swam right under me and I followed it taking pictures the whole way, it poked its head into a cave for a minute, perhaps to grab a quick snack, then it swam out of sight. There were several [...]
